this is important because it shows that they have very trickt rules at were they live
on page 60 the sock girls are being forced on the truck to be taken away because they did not make good socks because sookos moms dad died so they were not working as hard
and this is important because it shows the army only cares about them selves.
p.85 the war was over but there were still Japanese out with guns but it was very wierd because there was no one in control and they thought the Americans were coming but the russians came instead and no one thoght of them coming so then they were traped again they thought.
this is important because it shows that alot of people wanted control of korea.

Our book takes place in a city called Pyongyang and Seoul. It is Summer in the beginning in the book and it is 1945. It is during the Korean War.

This symbol is a mixture between the Japanese Empire Flag and the Communist Star.
I chose these because it shows the two groups that controlled them. I also chose to
call this picture "The Korean Flag" because if the North Koreans of that time had had
their choice, they wouldn't have that. It shows that the two groups that occupied
Korea had complete control.
